Troopers arrest woman accused of failing to wear her seat belt, bringing drugs into jail

The Missouri State Highway Patrol arrested Melanie Hodge after troopers spotted a car displaying plates registered to another vehicle. According to the probable cause statement, when troopers approached the car they noticed Hodge, the passenger, not wearing her seatbelt. Troopers said Hodge was breathing hard, speaking softly and her teeth showed signs of excessive decay.
