COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ) ORIGINAL: Both Boone and Cole Counties have one new case of COVID-19. Boone County is reporting 88 cases of the virus, with 79 people recovered. There are currently eight active cases in the county. Cole County also has one new case, bringing the total there up to 43 with 33 people recovered.

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ) A widely-cited COVID-19 prediction model believes Missouri is past the peak for daily deaths. The Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation said that Missouri’s peak for daily deaths occurred April 14. While the IHME said it projected 26 deaths that day, the Department of Health and Senior Services reported 19 deaths statewide.
