Single-car crash in Johnson County leaves one dead

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

A man from Imperial, Missouri, is dead after overturning his car in Johnson County early Saturday morning.

Missouri State Highway Patrol Troop A responded to the crash. According to troopers, Kevin Barron, 25, was driving westbound on Missouri 2 at 2:40 a.m. Saturday.

Near County Road 1651, Barron reportedly ran off the right side of the roadway and hit a ditch before the car overturned.

Barron was partially ejected from his car and pronounced dead at the scene.

According to crash reports, he was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.
