39 people apply for open city administrator position in Jefferson City
JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (KMIZ)
Jefferson City leaders say 39 people are vying for the open city administrator position in Jefferson City.
The search committee met for the first time Wednesday. The committee is starting to review the applications and will meet again next week.
The search comes after Steve Crowell – who held the position for nine years -- resigned in April.
City Attorney Ryan Moehlman took over duties shortly after, and Jefferson City Chief Matt Schofield was approved to be the next interim administrator at the last City Council meeting.
Schofield will begin his interim duties – while still serving as fire chief – on Monday.
The City’s posting for the city administrator position closed last week.
