Tracking a beautiful Thursday with severe storms possible by Friday

TONIGHT: Partly cloudy with lows in the upper 40s to around 50.

TOMORROW: Mostly sunny and warm with highs in the upper 70s to around 80.

EXTENDED: It's been yet another gorgeous day as temperatures have risen into the upper 70s to near 80, and we're in for a very similar day tomorrow as highs reach near 80 on Thursday. I'm tracking strong, gusty winds on Friday ahead of our severe risk to the tune of 40-50 mph, increasing the fire risk despite the increase in humidity.  Storms could start popping up by around 3:00 in our western counties, quickly growing upscale into a line that could produce damaging winds between 60-70 mph and a few spin up tornadoes as it moves east. Our threat for severe weather will likely end by 8PM or so to the east, leaving us with gusty winds around 30 mph heading into Friday night and Saturday morning. The weekend is looking cooler with highs near 60 on Saturday and into the lower 50s by Sunday. Temperatures rebound next week with near 70 by Monday and low 70s for Tuesday before another storm system brings storms and a cool down by mid-week.
