Columbia Crime Stoppers raising rewards up to $3,000 to help solve 14 homicide cold cases
COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)
The board of Columbia Crime Stoppers is increasing its standard cash payout for anonymous information that leads to an arrest for 14 unsolved murders identified by local law enforcement.
On Sept. 23, crime stoppers initially asked for information on 13 murders and offered a reward of up $1,500 for tips that might solve the homicides.
"Our goal is to identify the suspects in these cases and bring a sense of closure to the affected families," said Det. Scott Decker said at the time.
Now Columbia/Boone County CrimeStoppers is asking for help with 14 murders and is offering $3,000.
