No updates in Columbia double homicide
Police have made no arrests in a weekend shooting that left two men dead and one injured in Columbia.
Michael Walker Jr. and Jeffery Jones died from injuries in the shooting that happened Sunday afternoon on I-70 Dr NW near Garden Drive. Police have not released the name of the third man involved.
According to court documents, Walker pleaded guilty to federal drug charges in 2011. In Boone County, Walker also has various charges related to drugs, weapons and assault dating back to 2004.
ABC 17 News spoke to a man who lives near Walker. The man did not want to be identified but told ABC 17 News he’s seen multiple cars coming and going from Walker’s house throughout the day.
The man told ABC 17 News some of the cars would have paper tags, some regular tags, some from Missouri and others from Illinois.
Columbia Police have not released any suspect information or any details into how this shooting may have happened.
