COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ) The Columbia Police Department is investigating after a man was shot at Douglass Park in central Columbia on Tuesday night. Police responded to the scene around 8 p.m. for reports of shots fired. When they arrived there were around 100 people in the area. Some were applying pressure to the victim’s wounds.

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ) UPDATE 5:30 P.M.: The Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services reported 74,257 cases of COVID-19 Saturday, up from 72,964 on Friday. The department reported 6 new deaths Saturday. There have been 1,425 COVID-related deaths in the state. The 7 day positivity rate was at 11.4. At least 913 people were hospitalized.
