SATURDAY UPDATES: Missouri reports 1,293 new COVID-19 cases

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

UPDATE 5:30 P.M.: The Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services reported 74,257 cases of COVID-19 Saturday, up from 72,964 on Friday.

The department reported 6 new deaths Saturday. There have been 1,425 COVID-related deaths in the state.

The 7 day positivity rate was at 11.4.

At least 913 people were hospitalized.

ORIGINAL: The Columbia/Boone County Health Department reported 78 new COVID-19 cases Saturday. This follows a record jump on Friday with 81 new cases.

The positivity rate in the county was at 10.6 on Saturday.

There were 376 active cases out of a total of 1,923 reported.
