Garner surrendered after police negotiators talked with him for about an hour. No injuries were reported, Pitts said.

The other people inside exited the home uninjured before Garner was arrested for his outstanding warrant in Boone County for domestic assault and resisting arrest. He was also arrested on three Kentucky warrants for trafficking narcotics, endangering the welfare of a child and felony possession.

Pitts said the crisis negotiation team, SWAT and a K-9 unit were all used during the response.
