Office of Administration commissioner to retire Sept. 4

Missouri Office of Administration Commissioner Kenneth Zellers will retire on Sept. 4, according to a Tuesday email from Gov. Mike Kehoe’s office.

"As a proud Missourian, it has been a true honor and privilege to serve my state in these roles," Zellers was quoted in the release. "I am grateful to have had the opportunity to do my part in improving state government operations and the customer experience for all Missourians. I would like to thank the Office of Administration team and the many colleagues I have had the pleasure of serving with throughout the years." 

Zellers has served as commissioner since his senate confirmation in March 2022 and was appointed as acting commissioner in October 2021 by then-Gov. Mike Parson.

He previously served as the chief operating officer, acting director and director of the Missouri Department of Revenue, the release says. Before working in state government, the release says he held “numerous senior roles” at Anheuser-Busch InBev..
