2027 trial date scheduled for Callaway County man accused of killing his wife in 2002

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

A jury trial for a Callaway County man accused of killing his wife in 2002 has been given a new trial date.

Harold Dickens, of Auxvasse, is charged in Callaway County with first-degree murder in the death of  Debra Dickens. Court documents allege he stabbed Debra Dickens on or around April 28, 2002.

A pretrial conference is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. Monday, Dec. 21 and the jury trial is scheduled for 9 a.m. Friday, Jan. 15, 2027, according to court filings. Both events will occur at the Boone County Courthouse.

Previous reporting indicates that the jury will be pooled from other counties.
