Tracking big temperature swings this week

TONIGHT: Mostly clear and cool with winds dying down. Lows in the mid-upper 40s.

TOMORROW: Mostly sunny and breezy with highs in the upper 70s.

EXTENDED: It will be a warm start to the week as winds shift back to the south on Tuesday, sending temperatures into the upper 70s and lower 80s through Wednesday. Winds could gust up to 25-30 mph on Wednesday afternoon before another powerful cold front moves through the region on Wednesday night into Thursday. Expect more clouds to start Thursday with temperatures falling into the upper 50s to around 60 for highs on both days. A few showers are possible on Thursday, but measurable rain will be hard to come by once again this week. Over the weekend, the upper level air flow will become a little more zonal, or west to east, meaning temperatures should rebound a bit back into the mid-60s. Sunday night into Monday will bring another frontal passage that could bring a few showers along with continued cool temperatures.
