Lane closure of I-70 in Kingdom City announced for this weekend

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

One lane of the east- and westbound lanes of Interstate 70 will close this weekend in Kingdom City, according to a press release from the Missouri Department of Transportation.

The release says crews will be removing the railroad bridge over the interstate. The closure will occur from 7 p.m. Friday through 6 a.m. Sunday between mile markers 147.4 and 148, the release says.

All work is weather-permitting. The work is part of the Improve I-70 Project, which will make Interstate 70 a three-lane highway across the entire state.
