Tracking scattered storms tonight, dry and brighter Friday

TONIGHT: Scattered storms decrease, lows in the upper 50s.

TOMORROW: Mostly sunny with highs in the upper 70s.

EXTENDED: Rain starts to taper off late tonight, leaving us drier and a touch cooler tomorrow morning. Highs reach the mid-upper 70s with more sunshine returning tomorrow afternoon. I'll be tracking storms out ahead of a cold front late Friday night into Saturday morning, bringing another round of rain through early Saturday. After rain exits, we'll be left with highs in the upper 70s. That front will stall out across southern Missouri on Sunday, bringing a chance for scattered rain and storms south of I-70. Weekend rain totals will be around 1-1.5". Temperatures will be cooler in the wake of that as highs only reach the lower 70s. Monday starts off dry, but we could see a round of storms that moves in late from the west. A few of those could be strong into early Tuesday morning. Temperatures will be warmer next week as highs get into the lower 80s.
