COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ) A Sedalia vaccination site ended Saturday with a total of just over 2,300 people getting their COVID-19 vaccine over the past three days. The Bothwell Regional Health Center and the Pettis County Health Center hosted the event at the Missouri State Fairgrounds. The Missouri National Guard also helped out with the event.

Police: Sedalia boy dies after accidentally shooting himself

The boy, Andre Walker, died after the shooting on Sunday night. Sedalia police said the boy’s parents told officers he somehow got ahold of a loaded handgun and shot himself.

Sedalia man charged with two counts of 1st-degree child molestation

SEDALIA, Mo. (KMIZ) A Sedalia man is charged with two counts of molestation in new court records. In the 2nd amended complaint, Joshua Breshears is accused of touching the victim sometime between March 30, 2012, and February 28, 2013. Both instances occurred at a residence on the 1100 block of E. 5th St. in Sedalia.

Multiple drugs seized during Mid-Missouri Drug Task Force drug investigation

PETTIS COUNTY, Mo. (KMIZ) A Moniteau County Sheriff’s deputy and his K-9 helped with a Mid-Missouri Drug Task Force drug investigation in Pettis County. The Task Force requested assistance from the Moniteau County Sheriff’s Office for a stopped vehicle in Pettis County for a drug investigation. Once on scene, K-9 “Apollo” and conducted an exterior
