SEDALIA, Mo. (KMIZ)
The Pettis County Sheriff's Office said a female inmate at the Pettis County jail died after she became unresponsive in a booking cell Saturday.
Investigators with the sheriff's office and the Pettis County Coroner's Office said Modina Bradshaw, 44, had been in the jail since Nov. 6.
According to authorities, jail officers performed CPR, but were unable to resuscitate Bradshaw. Investigators said an autopsy has been scheduled.
Online court records show Bradshaw was charged on Thursday with unlawful use of a weapon and two counts of fourth-degree domestic assault.
