CCCCU to discuss collaborative ideas at a meeting Friday

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

Representatives with the City of Columbia, Boone County Government, Columbia Public Schools, Chamber of Commerce and the University of Missouri will meet Friday to find ways to collaborate in the future.

The CCCCU meeting will be from 7:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. at Mizzou's Memorial Union in the Stotler Lounge and will be open to the public. The purpose of the CCCCU is to provide participating entities to have open communication, discuss items of joint interest and determine areas of collaboration. 

The University will open up the meeting by discussing its own mission, vision and structure, then continue by discussing a major programming effort in Columbia and Boone County. The Chamber of Commerce will then provide an update of I-70 and workforce development.

Up next, the Boone County Government will get its time to speak on multiple items such as; FY 2025 budget, public safety childcare center, Master Plan and Housing study update. Mayor Buffaloe will represent the City of Columbia and discuss the housing and transit study. The meeting will end with Columbia Public Schools speaking on its topics of discussion.
