University of Missouri Police have identified a man found dead in Columbia Tuesday morning. Officers found the body of a 27-year-old Cyle Christopher Crowleyshortly before 10:00 Tuesday morning in the Hinkson Creek bottoms east of Providence Road in Columbia. Someone noticed Crowley’s body while walking near the creek, and found him lying in a tributary.

A string of brazen burglaries has an East Columbia neighborhood one high alert. At least three break-ins have happened within the last month in the East Ridge Park neighborhood off of St. Charles Road. All of the burglaries have happened in the middle of the day. Neighbors said the neighborhood is typically safe and quiet.
