Cloud cover sticks around, tracking warmer temperatures this week

TONIGHT: Mostly cloudy, few sprinkles, 53.

TOMORROW: Mostly cloudy with sprinkles possible, highs in the upper 60s.

EXTENDED: Stubborn clouds are slow to exit the next few days thanks to slow moving low pressure centered across the upper Midwest. As this finally retreats east by mid-week, we'll see clouds begin to clear a bit and temperatures to rise back into the low to mid-70s by Wednesday and Thursday. We close the work week on a warm note as highs soar to around 80 degrees. Storm chances return this weekend as upper flow becomes more southwesterly, sending disturbances our way. Temperatures climb higher into the mid-80s for Saturday and Sunday, and we'll be monitoring the possibility of more intense storms as we work our way through the week.
