Tracking a cooling trend for the week

TODAY: A few more showers will be sliding through Missouri this afternoon. Most of the showers will stay close to the Mississippi River and out of the area, but a few could clip our eastern counties. Otherwise, clouds will filter out this afternoon with some late day sun helping us into the low to mid 60's.

TONIGHT: A cool, dry night is headed our way with temperatures dropping into the mid 40s.

EXTENDED: We're tracking a cooling trend for the rest of the week with temperatures holding in the low to mid 60s throughout most of the week. We'll remain dry until Thursday when our next system pushes through. This looks to move through mid-Missouri Thursday afternoon/evening into Friday morning. We'll remain dry for the weekend, but still cool. We're keeping a close eye on the possibility for frost overnight later in the week.
