Tracking scattered storm chances before fall-like weather arrives

TODAY: I'm tracking scattered storm chances throughout the rest of the morning hours as a cold front gradually approaches Mid-Missouri. Coverage will decrease through the afternoon, but cloud cover will stick around, keeping temperatures from warming past the upper 80s. Winds will shift to the north at 5-10 mph.

TONIGHT: I'm tracking redevelopment of showers and storms this evening along and south of I-70 that will gradually move east out of the area overnight. Temperatures are expected to dip back into the mid-60s as winds persist out of the north at 8-12 mph.

EXTENDED: I'm tracking scattered showers exiting through Monday morning, but cloud cover is expected to stick around for the afternoon. There will be a noticeable difference, though, as the cold front bringing chances of showers and storms will bring temperatures back down into the low 70s. Even cooler weather arrives Tuesday, with a morning in the upper 50s and an afternoon in the upper 60s. Mornings in the 50s and afternoons in the 70s continue the rest of the week, with only limited chances of more precipitation holding off until Friday. Slightly warmer weather could return by next weekend, with temperatures in the low 80s by Saturday afternoon.
