Tracking temperatures heating up into the weekend and limited storm chances

TODAY: I'm tracking isolated chances of storms throughout the afternoon hours, but most will be experiencing sunshine as temperatures warm into the upper 80s, and humidity makes it feel like it is in the mid-90s. Winds will be out of the southwest at 5-10 mph, gusting up to 15 mph.

TONIGHT: I'm tracking a quiet evening ahead as temperatures gradually drop into the low 70s by the end of the night. Winds will continue to blow out of the southwest at 5-10 mph.

EXTENDED: I'm tracking another chance for isolated storms during the afternoon hours of Saturday, but most will stay dry. Temperatures are expected to get into the low 90s by the afternoon hours, with humidity making it feel closer to the mid to upper 90s. As sunshine continues throughout Sunday and Monday, this trend of summer heat will continue with it. Monday is expected to be the hottest day of the next 7 days, bringing heat index values near 100 by the afternoon hours. A cold front is expected to move through the area on Tuesday, and the effects will be realized shortly after this. Wednesday and Thursday, temperatures each afternoon will only warm into the mid-80s, and humidity will not be as oppressive. Very limited rain chances are expected during this period of time.
