Tracking a chance for isolated showers and storms through the weekend

TONIGHT: Mostly cloudy with a few showers late. Lows in the mid-50s.

TOMORROW: Partly to mostly cloudy with scattered showers and a few storms. Highs in the upper 60s to low 70s.

EXTENDED:  Rain chances have been lowered on Friday as the expected disturbance is coming in on the weaker side, but isolated to scattered storms will be possible from the morning into the afternoon, keeping temperatures in the upper 60s to low 70s. Saturday's setup looks similar, with isolated to scattered storms tied to the heat of the day. Sunday and Monday look mostly dry with warmer temps near 80, but there will be an afternoon chance for storms near a stalled front across southern Missouri, so we'll keep an eye on the Lake area for those pop-ups. Next week's pattern looks active, with daily rain and storm chances tied to the heat of the afternoon as we'll remain under southwest upper wind flow. Temperatures will be in the mid-80s by mid-week and the 7-day rain total remains fairly low, with less than 0.5" north of I-70 and less than an inch farther south. Severe weather risks look low through next week.
