Tracking more clouds overnight, spotty showers across northern Mid-Missouri Friday morning

TONIGHT: Increasing clouds with a few spotty showers possible along and north of I-70. Lows in the upper 50s.

TOMORROW: Mostly cloudy and mild with a few showers north of I-70. Highs in the upper 70s.

EXTENDED: A cold front moving in from the north will bring more clouds this evening and a chance for a few spotty showers that could increase in coverage slightly into Friday morning as low level winds kick up overnight. Despite cloud cover, highs manage to reach the upper 70s again tomorrow, with cloudy skies expected into the evening. Rain moves in ahead of low pressure on Saturday morning and will continue off and on into the evening, with less than 0.25" total rainfall expected through the weekend. It won't be a washout for trick or treating on Halloween, but an umbrella may be needed. Spotty showers hold on into Sunday morning, but exit early enough to leave us with a mostly dry Sunday. Highs will be in the lower 70s over the weekend. Next week is active to start off as a stronger low pressure system works in from the west off of the Plains, bringing widespread rain and a few thunderstorms between Monday and Wednesday, and rain amounts between 1-2". Cooler air moves in behind this system, with temperatures falling to near the seasonal averages.
