Tracking sunshine and seasonable temperatures

THIS AFTERNOON: Sunny and mild in the mid-70s with a steady northerly breeze. A few gusts up to 20 mph are possible.

TONIGHT: Clear and cool, with lows falling to the lower 50s and upper 40s.

EXTENDED: Mild weather will continue through Thursday, with highs in the upper 70s and increasing cloud cover in the afternoon. We'll stay dry through the evening, then scattered showers and storms move through after midnight, with isolated small hail and heavy downpours possible. Rain may linger into early Friday morning, but we'll be dry and muggy by midday, and highs jump to the upper 80s. Thunderstorms develop on Friday night and could produce hail and damaging winds. Rain and thunderstorm chances continue on Saturday and Sunday, but there should be plenty of dry time before rain coverage increases early next week. The weekend looks warm overall, with temperatures near 90 and heavy humidity.
