Tracking a few showers overnight, warmer and windy Tuesday

TONIGHT: Mostly cloudy with a few showers and/or rumbles of thunder late. Lows in the mid-50s.

TOMORROW: Rain exits early with gusty southwest winds up to 25 mph. Highs in the low to mid-80s.

EXTENDED: A low pressure system working in from the Plains will track to our north tonight, pulling in a modest amount of moisture to increase clouds across the area. We could see a few showers likely after midnight, with scattered rain into the sunrise hour. Rain and clouds clear to the east, making way for gusty winds and warmer temperatures as highs reach the mid-80s in some spots. A cold front will begin to work in from the north on Wednesday, bringing a bit of a cool down with highs in the mid-70s, but another front moves in quickly behind it on Thursday into Friday, bringing a chance for a few showers and storms and cooler air by Friday. Rain amounts are expected to be under 0.25". A wide-spanning high pressure system clears things out for the weekend, leaving us with sunshine and highs in the 60s for Saturday and Sunday.
