Tracking some sunshine today, flurries possible tomorrow

THIS AFTERNOON: Mostly sunny with highs in the upper 30s. Winds out of the west may gust up to 20 mph.

TONIGHT: Clouds return overnight with low temperatures dropping to the mid-20s.

EXTENDED: Thursday starts dry with precipitation chances increasing in the afternoon. A light rain or a few flurries are possible, but amounts will be very low locally. Temperatures drop steadily late week with highs near or below freezing. A strong system is expected to impact the area this weekend bringing wintry precipitation Sunday into early Monday. The type of precipitation is uncertain but there is good confidence in travel impacts early next week followed by dangerous cold.
