Tracking a warmer evening with weekend storms and cooler temperatures ahead

TONIGHT: Overnight lows cool to the lower 70s with dry conditions until after 2 am where showers and storms are expected to move into western portions of the region.

TOMORROW: Saturday begins with scattered showers and storms lasting throughout the rest of the day into the overnight hours. Moderate downpours with lightening will be the main threats. Highs remain into the mid-80s.

EXTENDED: Sunday welcomes more chances of showers and storms the possibility of afternoon strong to severe storms possible but still on the lower side of chances. Highs reach into the upper 70s Sunday with scattered showers and storms remaining until early Monday afternoon. Highs cool significantly Monday into the rest of next week into the lower to mid-70s. After Monday the rest of the week sees partly cloudy and dry skies.
