Tracking a spot storm overnight with much cooler air heading into the weekend

TONIGHT: Increasing clouds with a chance of a spot shower or storm overnight into the morning. Lows in the lower 60s.

TOMORROW: A spot shower is possible in the morning with clouds decreasing through the day. Breezy with highs in the mid-70s.

EXTENDED: We'll see big changes overnight as cold front works its way in from the northwest. Spotty showers and/or a rumble of thunder or two are possible from about 10:00 p.m. Through early Friday morning. Very little measurable rain is expected, and clouds will clear out by midday leaving us with more sunshine later on Friday afternoon. Temperatures will cool in the wake of the front with highs in the mid-70s on Friday. The weekend looks cool and fall like with morning temperatures on Saturday near 50, and low 70s during the day. Sunday will be the coolest morning as we fall into the mid-upper 40s. Next week, high pressure that's locked in across the Plains will work in our direction as the weekend low pressure system exits the Great Lakes and heads northeast. This will allow the jet stream to push back north and increase temperatures back into the 80s here for much of next week, and really limit rain chances.
