Tracking generally mild air with several rain chances
TODAY: We are melting this morning, but still have some slick spots from Monday's ice. This should improve, as temperatures continue to rise. We will also see drier conditions, as rain lifts to the north leaving us with chances for spotty showers or drizzle through the morning. This afternoon should be less drizzly, but clouds linger. Temperatures likely climb back into the 40s with warmer air moving in through the day.
TONIGHT: Temperatures only fall into the upper 30s overnight, with warm air influence still in the forecast. This is as another system moves in from the south, growing rain chances after about 7-9 p.m. Rain will move in from south to north, bringing everyone a chance for rain, and with temperatures well above freezing, no wintry weather is expected.
EXTENDED: This rain extends into early Wednesday morning, but wraps up by noon. Temperatures are once more in the 40s, possibly nearing 50 on Wednesday afternoon. Thursday is similarly warm, with lesser chances for rain. Still, we will be near a boundary that separates warm from cool air, and as long as this is near, we'll have a chance for rain. Precipitation in general will favor the warm, or east side of the boundary, so expect a slightly better chance for rain in our eastern counties Thursday. Friday is generally dry, with highs in the 40s again. Our next area of low pressure moves in overnight into Saturday, bringing another chance at rain. Temperatures are warm enough to keep this as rain for most of the event. A slim chance for wintry weather may come on the back end of this system Saturday night, but it does not look likely at this point. We'll just get into the 40s behind this system on Sunday, with a possibility of reaching 50 on Monday.
