Tracking the next round of rain by tomorrow morning

TONIGHT: Mostly cloudy and chilly with lows in the upper 30s.

TOMORROW: Rain likely with highs in the upper 40s. Breezy with wind gusts around 20 mph.

EXTENDED: Make sure to have an umbrella or hooded coat as you head out the door Thursday morning with the next round of rain moving in before sunrise. Showers continue through the day with about 0.25" to 0.5" of rain possible by late afternoon. Temperatures only reach the upper 40s with gusty winds continuing into Friday from the northwest. It's a chilly end to the week with highs in the upper 40s Friday, and lows dropping to just above freezing by Saturday morning. The weekend starts off dry, but another disturbance will bring rain to Mid-Missouri by Saturday afternoon through evening. The timing of this system has sped up, meaning most of the precipitation will be working to the east on Sunday morning, leaving us with a bit more late day sunshine on Sunday. Either way, its a cool weekend with highs in the upper 40s. Any wintry weather looks to stay just to our north, but we could add an additional 0.25" to 0.5" of rain to our total. Next week starts off cooler than average with highs in the mid-upper 40s, but the pattern starts to shift a bit by mid-week as rain chances return and highs get close to 60 by Wednesday.
