Another person was charged on Friday in connection with a case that led to a former marine being shot and killed during a Facebook Marketplace sale in January.

Kayden Brandkamp, 18, of Columbia, is charged with four counts of stealing a gun and a lone count of tampering with evidence. He is being held at the Boone County Jail without bond. A court date has not been scheduled.

Several people are accused in the shooting death of Michael Ryan Burke on Ridgemont Court.

Mikel Jones, 18, of Columbia, is now charged with first-degree robbery, second-degree murder, two counts of armed criminal action, two counts of felony stealing and one count of unlawful use of a weapon after a superseding indictment was filed on Friday.

An arraignment for the new set of charges is scheduled for 9 a.m. Monday, Nov. 16. He is being held at the Boone County Jail without bond.

Kobe Aust and Joseph Crane – both 19, of Columbia – and Alexis Baumann, of Hallsville, are all also charged with first-degree robbery, two counts of armed criminal action and a count of second-degree murder.

Aust and Crane are still being held at the Boone County Jail without bond, while Baumann was given a bond and was released to home detention.

Aust has a hearing scheduled for 9 a.m. Dec. 14, while Crane has a hearing scheduled for 1:30 p.m. the same day. Baumann has a hearing scheduled for 9 a.m. Monday, Jan. 4.

The probable cause statement filed in Brandkamp’s case says he is accused of stealing multiple guns, including the one that was used in the shooting.  He is accused of giving Jones the murder weapon and later hiding it underneath his backyard porch.

Brandkamp allegedly told authorities that he was with the group at prior thefts that were set up using Facebook Marketplace, but he was not present when Burke was shot.
