Tracking a cooler afternoon with Thursday rain returning

Today: Afternoon highs wane into the mid to upper 40s across Mid-Missouri as winds remain out of the southeast at 10-15 mph with gusts up to 25 mph. Skies remain cloudy with light scattered drizzles expected.

Tonight: Overnight lows cool to the upper 30s with mostly cloudy skies as wind remain out of the the south at 8-12 mph.

Extended: Showers enter the region form the west heading into Thursday morning after 6 AM. Showers become widespread by mid-morning with a few rumbles of thunder expected. Showers exit Thursday night as temperatures remain into the upper 40s. Temperatures follow this same trend into the weekend with more chances of rain expected Saturday into Sunday. Next week welcomes highs into the upper 40s also with more cloud cover expected.
