Tracking cooler temperatures and rain returning Tuesday night

TONIGHT: Increasing clouds, breezy, and cooler with lows falling into the mid-upper 30s.

TOMORROW: Mostly cloudy with evening rain showers moving in around sunset or just before. Highs in the lower 50s.

EXTENDED: A cold front sliding south through the area tonight will bring clouds and cooler temperatures overnight into Tuesday. Tuesday starts off dry with low dew points, indicating dry air over the region. As moisture begins to stream in, we'll see rain making it to the ground by evening. Showers continue through early Wednesday morning, with some dry time during the day. Chilly temperatures hang on through much of Wednesday, with highs in the mid-upper 40s. Showers return by Wednesday evening as low level winds bring in more moisture ahead of low pressure that will track across the Missouri-Arkansas border. Rain continues through much of Thursday, keeping temperatures in the 40s. Rain finally exits by Friday morning, but gusty winds and cooler than average temperatures stick around. Rain totals will end up being around an inch or just above. Saturday is looking dry, but another system could bring a shot at rain or a rain/snow mix on Sunday as temperatures will be near the freezing mark on Sunday morning before rising into the mid-40s.
