Tracking a warmer weekend before a workweek pattern change

TODAY: Fog is possible early morning around river valleys and areas that received healthy precipitation on Friday. A few sprinkles from a weak front are possible just before noon but most will just see clouds. These are expected to break away by the afternoon with highs reaching the upper 50s.

TOMORROW: Winds kick up early Sunday from the south, fueling a dramatic warmup to the mid-60s. Wind gusts reach 30-35 mph in the afternoon.

EXTENDED: The warming trend peaks into Monday with highs nearing 70 degrees under mostly sunny skies. A cold front moving in late in the day starts a cooling trend expected to last the rest of the workweek. Tuesday afternoon sees highs back to the 50s with afternoon/overnight showers rolling in. These rain chances remain steady throughout much of central Missouri into Wednesday and Thursday with the possibility of a little snow mixing in by Thursday night/Friday morning.
