Tracking pleasant weather for Super Bowl Sunday, and chances for rain later in the week

TONIGHT: Tracking clear skies throughout the night, and calm winds. Because of this, we will see a decent drop in temperatures across the area. By the end of the night, temperatures will be making their way back down into the 30s.

TOMORROW: If you're worried about a chilly morning, don't worry, because it wont last long. The sun will once again be out, and temperatures are going to be moving into the upper 50s. If you're planning on going to any outdoor Super Bowl watch parties, bring a jacket just in case. Something else to note is we are seeing a weak cold front move over the area Sunday night, bringing small chances for light drizzle.

EXTENDED: Tuesday we are tracking a system with rising confidence that there will be widespread rain across Mid-Missouri, and through Missouri as a whole. Amounts aren't on track to top 1/2 of an inch, but still make sure to grab an umbrella. A factor that could make this system a bit more bothersome is the high chances for strong winds. This means the rain could be shifting directions based on the wind, so keep that in mind when preparing to go out for the day. Wednesday is tracking to be our warmest day of the week, with temperatures getting boosted into the low 60s. This is with the help of strong Southerly winds pumping in warm air across Missouri. Thursday is our next chance to see precipitation, but it's a bit lower than Tuesday. The main thing coming with this system is a strong arctic air mass, creating small chances for snow Thursday night into Friday. This also drops us into the teens for our low on Friday. As for the temperature trend, we're tracking to bounce back relatively quick.
