Tracking a warm and windy afternoon with overnight rain

Today: Afternoon highs warm into the lower 60s with gusty winds up to 35 mph possible out of the southwest. Cloud cover will continue to increase heading towards this evening.

Tonight: Light scattered showers will begin to move in from the northwest ahead of an approaching cold front tonight between 8-9 PM. Showers will continue until Thursday morning. Overnight lows fall to 40 degrees.

Extended: A secondary cold front will push through Mid-Missouri Tuesday night leading to more chances of scattered showers. Wednesday afternoon sees more widespread showers that could develop into a wintry mix into Thursday morning. There should not be any accumulations as temperatures at the surface remain well above average. A similar system pushes in Friday morning with more chances of snowfall, but an minimal accumulations look to melt by Friday afternoon as highs glide to 40 degrees ahead of a warming and sunny weekend.
