Tracking a wintry mix for Monday and more snow later in the week
TONIGHT: Clouds returning, temperatures dropping back down into the mid-20s.
TOMORROW: A system is moving into our area that could bring us a light dusting of snow in the morning, but that will quickly transition into rain as the day goes on. Temperatures will be the highest for the week, and will be shifting above freezing relatively fast as the day goes on. Measurable accumulation is not expected with this system.
EXTENDED: The next system that moves into our area is Wednesday night into Thursday. An arctic system brings frigid temperatures in the teens on Thursday, and possibly negatives temperatures on Friday. With this, it brings chances for snow Wednesday night into Thursday, with possible accumulation, but measurable amounts are uncertain as of right now. If we do see snow, the majority will be on Thursday. This system is expected to be over us until early Friday morning as of now. To end the week, Saturday we could look to get back into the teens for our highs. For Christmas day, temperatures only look to reach highs in the low 20s. So it might not be a white Christmas, but temperatures will surely make it feel like the winter season.
