Tracking a soggy and cool Thanksgiving

TODAY: Mostly cloudy with scattered showers early. Highs in the lower 50s.

TOMORROW: Chilly in the morning with lows in the 30s. Temperatures reach near 50 by the afternoon.

EXTENDED: Low pressure tracks in from the southwest on Saturday, bringing widespread rain to much of our area. Showers keep us in the upper 40s, with about a half inch of rain likely. Higher amounts between 0.5" and 1" are possible for areas near the Lake, I-44, and points south through Saturday night. Sunday is looking dry with highs in the upper 40s and partly cloudy skies. Next week starts off mild on Monday as we remain in the lower 50s, but we warm dramatically to the 60s by Tuesday. Another storm system will swing a cold front through on Tuesday night, and that could end up bringing a round of rain and thunderstorms. The best potential for anything strong lies to our south for now, but we'll keep an eye on it. Once that front passes, highs drop back into the 40s through the end of the week.
