Tracking near record highs tomorrow, late week cool down

TONIGHT: Mostly cloudy and cool with lows in the low to mid-50s.

TOMORROW: Breezy with a few clouds. Highs reaching the upper 70s.

EXTENDED: We can expect cloud cover to hold into this evening, keeping temperatures in the low to mid-50s overnight. Tomorrow will be warm and breezy with temperatures soaring into the upper 70s, which would get near record highs for the day. We'll stay mild into Thursday morning as temperatures only dip to the low 60s. A cold front moving in from the west will bring a chance of showers and a few rumbles of thunder by mid-late afternoon. Around 0.25" of rain is expected. Much colder air sets in and we'll see temperatures dipping into the low to mid-30s by Friday morning. The cooler pattern sticks around through the weekend with highs right around 40. The cooler than average stretch looks to stick around into much of next week.
