Tracking rebounding temperatures to wrap up the weekend

Today: Bright and warmer with highs reaching the upper 60s. Expect a steady breeze up to 20 mph this afternoon.

Tomorrow: Slightly cooler from northeasterly winds and partly cloudy skies. Highs in the lower 60s.

Extended: There has been a fair amount of changes to the forecast early in the week with temperatures now only reaching the 60s on Monday and Tuesday. This is due to northerly winds behind a weak cold front arriving late Sunday. No activity is expected with this system but those winds are just enough to keep conditions cooler. It's a good idea to bring an umbrella to poll lines on Tuesday though as a minor stream of moisture to the west could be enough to spur a stray shower or two during the day. Winds will slowly switch to a more southerly direction by midweek which brings Mid-Missouri to near-record warmth in some areas. Columbia's record high on Wednesday is 78 with the current forecast right at that value as well. Thursday will likely be another warm day ahead of deep low pressure moving in from the west. This system will bring a potential round of rain sometime Thursday into Friday with the biggest impacts coming next weekend. Highs are trending colder behind this system than previous forecasts as Mid-MO is now set to fall to the 40s and 50s late week.
