Tracking mid-week sunshine before Friday rain

Today: Temperatures look to continue to rise eventually topping out into the lower 70s. Winds remain out of the southwest at 5-10 mph. Skies remain mostly sunny.

Tonight: Overnight lows cool to near 50 degrees with continuous winds out of the southwest at 4-8 mph. Overnight sky conditions remain mostly clear.

Wednesday through Friday follows the warming trend with highs into the mid-70s. Skies remain sunny on Wednesday before clouds eventually build back into the region Thursday afternoon. Friday sees a strong low pressure system plunge towards the Midwest leading to overnight widespread showers with possible thunderstorms. These showers and storms look to continue into Saturday morning. A light drizzle will be possible Saturday, but overall rainfall trends by the end of the week sees Mid-Missouri getting 0.5"-1.5" total. Temperatures cool slightly into the weekend approaching early next week back into the mid-60s.
