Tracking continued fire weather conditions, and a slim rain chance
TODAY: Friday is another dry and windy day, with sustained winds in the 15-20 mph range, and gusts as high as 30 mph. Sunshine early in the day will help lower humidity enough that critical fire weather may again be in place for most. Read more about that here. By noon, a boundary slides in from the north bringing more cloud cover, and may bring a few sprinkles to a light shower with it. Overall, no meaningful precipitation is forecast, but it may be enough to make you want to keep an umbrella handy. Otherwise expect a windy day, with morning sun and afternoon clouds, with a high near 70.
TONIGHT: Tonight, high pressure slides in behind the boundary. This likely won't clear us, but it may calm winds a bit. Temperatures cool to near 40 by Sunrise.
EXTENDED: Saturday shapes up partly cloudy to mostly sunny thanks to some high clouds. Expect a high near 65. Highs reach mid-60s again on Sunday, with more sunshine as the high pressure moves away. This will draw in more wind from the north, making Sunday another breezy day. Monday will be gusty too, but neither day quite approaches the winds we'll feel on Friday. Temperatures settle into the 50s for the early half of next week, despite daily sunshine.
