Tracking an early week warmup

Today: Chilly in the morning with lows in the upper 30s. Temperatures recover nicely with southerly winds picking up today, and highs make it all the way to the mid-70s. Wind gusts could reach up to 20 mph.

Tomorrow: Southerly flow lends to a slight warmup, with highs climbing to near 80 degrees Monday afternoon.

Extended: Winds from the south will finally bring moisture back into the region by midweek, with showers moving in from the southwest early Tuesday. A few isolated storms are also possible throughout the day as temperatures back off to the mid-70s. Another splash of rain is likely on Wednesday along a cold front, rounding areas north of I-70 out to a half inch of rainfall. Late week looks fantastic following this system with highs retreating to the 60s under mostly clear skies.
