Tracking a freezing start to the weekend

TODAY: Areas south of Highway 24 are in a Frost Advisory through mid-morning and points north are in a Freeze Warning where plants are more susceptible to damage. Temperatures start out in the lower 30s before soaring all the way back to the low 60s this afternoon,

TOMORROW: Mostly sunny and breezy with highs in the 70s. Wind gusts up to 20 mph.

EXTENDED: A slight uptick in temperatures heading into Sunday will stave off frost chances for most, though temperatures will still dive to the lower 40s early in the day. Next week starts off mild with highs in the upper 70s on Monday, but a few fronts will bring rain chances between Tuesday and Wednesday. Rainfall amounts are looking on the lower side, likely around 0.25". We'll cool down behind that front on Thursday and Friday with temperatures falling to the 60s for highs.
