Tracking a crisp, fall-like air mass for the week ahead

TODAY: Skies are clear with a very dry and calm pattern in place. Expect mostly sunny skies, dry air, and seasonably cool conditions today making for another crisp fall day on Monday. Highs settle in the low 70s Monday afternoon with a 10-15 mph breeze out of the northwest.

TONIGHT: Clear skies, and relaxed winds allows a cool down into the high 40s by sunrise Tuesday.

EXTENDED: Tuesday, through Sunday looks remarkably stable in terms of sensible weather. Expect a sunny and seasonably cool week ahead. Not only will it feel like fall, on a daily basis we expect temperatures to fall below seasonal norms. This is with daily sunshine in the forecast. Expect mostly sunny skies with temperatures in the low-to-mid 70s each day through Sunday. The only exception being Wednesday, where upper 60s are forecast. Early morning temperatures will likely dip into the 40s Tuesday through Saturday. This pleasant and cool forecast is largely due to some dry and cool air in out of the north here at the surface, but we can also thank a dry northerly flow aloft, which is propped up by a large high pressure centered to our east. This starts to break down by late this week, but the forecast remains dry through the weekend.
