Tracking scattered showers and a few storms, much cooler air overnight
TONIGHT: Mostly cloudy with a few showers and storms possible. Lows in the upper 50s.
TOMORROW: Mostly cloudy with light showers possible through about noon. Highs in the upper 60s.
EXTENDED: Scattered showers and a few rumbles of thunder will be possible into tonight, with more widespread rain into Thursday morning. I'm not expecting much more than about 0.25" through about noon Thursday. Clouds do stick around, and we'll warm from the upper 50s Thursday morning to the upper 60s by afternoon. Clouds return Thursday night ahead of another disturbance could bring light rain to areas along and north of I-70 through Friday afternoon. Temperatures struggle to get to 65 on Friday, so it will definitely feel like fall to close out the week. A warm front lifts north overnight Friday into Saturday, bringing temperatures into the mid-upper 80s briefly, but a dry front moves in Saturday night into Sunday, bringing us back into the upper 70s to close out the weekend. Next week looks pleasant as the jet stream pattern looks zonal, meaning winds will be flowing from west to east with limited disturbances to bring any rain. Highs reach the mid-70s all week with lows in the low 50s.
