Tracking rounds of storms to kick off the workweek

Today: Dry at sunrise but storms approach from the west by midmorning. Take a lot of caution heading to the Lake of the Ozarks with a widespread round of storms tracking through the area from late morning to midafternoon. Storms mostly exit east by 4-5 pm with more scattered showers around I-44 overnight. Highs reach the upper 80s ahead of the storms today.

Tomorrow: A few lingering showers are possible to the far south early Monday, otherwise mild to start in the lower 70s. Southerly winds push highs into the lower 90s with a heat index up to the mid-90s. Another round of storms moves in before sundown and continues into the overnight hours.

Extended: Storms make a quick exit before the Tuesday morning commute and the later half of this week is looking dry. Temperatures will see some relief with highs trending back to the mid-80s though make sure to stay hydrated all week long!
