Tracking a warm end to the weekend

TODAY: Mostly cloudy with scattered rain possible throughout the day. Southerly winds boost highs to the low 60s. A cold front will dig into the region this evening and kick off a round of light showers.

TOMORROW: Frigid conditions move in behind the front with lows in the upper 20s Monday morning. Northerly flow will keep temperatures trapped in the 30s throughout the day.

EXTENDED: Tuesday is another bitterly cold day, and a disturbance tracking through the area may bring more showers and potentially a few snowflakes Tuesday into early Wednesday. Limited moisture and warm ground temperatures will keep impacts low to zero. Once conditions clear up a minor warmup kicks in for more above-average temperatures late week, though another system may be on the way next weekend to bring a return of winter chill.
